Okay, so, I'm back to looking at my gallery and thinking it looks like a crazy mess ^^;

What do you guys prefer when going to look through someone's gallery?

Do you like it better when all their devs are featured?
When none are featured, just folders on the side?
Or do you like when they pick a few of their best works and feature them, with the rest in folders?

Maybe I'll make a poll! I've never made one, ooo :excited:

Also, there's a lot of old stuff in my gallery that I think I'm going to delete, so.. have a good look while you can (or don't, 'cause it's terrible!). It'll probably take me a while, but sh!t's goin at some point!

It depends how many deviations they have. If someone has very few deviations up it can be strange to see only one or two, or sometimes none, featured and then to find there are actually a whole page of pictures there, but in your case you have bloody millions of photos, so I'd say feature your favourite one or two pics from each shoot and put the rest in a folder for that shoot so people can search them out if they want. I'd like to see more of your drawings in the featured part of the gallery though.

I've found that the best way is to feature a few and have folders for the rest. That way you don't turn people off from looking through your work. Sometimes it's a little daunting to scroll through countless deviations whereas with a few featured pieces, you can draw people in. Then they can look on the side and be like hey I really like portraits and browse at their leisure. :shrug: just my two cents :)

Yeah, I think that's what I'm leaning towards too

I think the only thing about all being featured is there's sooo many. I'm an organizer freak. lol.

Yeah me too, it drives me nuts when I look in my gallery 'cause there's so much crap that I start taking stuff out of Featured, but then if I do that, I want only a few good ones featured to fit on one page... but you know I can't narrow it down to that few -_-;; it's just a problem, gonna take me hours. OCD is hard lol

Haha right? I hate when I get into hardcore cleaning sprees its takes forever! How about you aim for like 3 featured pages and then maybe one day work your way down. 3's a nice number.

hmm.. it is a nice number, it pleases my OCD :crazy: But I feel like if I have more than one page, ppl will think that the featured ones are all I have in my gallery and won't look at the folders!

Won't they notice the folders? lmao. Perhaps...but I think if they're interested enough they'll notice.

well yeah, but if I've got 3 pages of stuff, what's already out in featured will look like all the same stuff in folders so they won't look! at least that's my reasoning that stops me from doing anything every time lol am I crazy here?! don't answer that haha but yeah, I guess you're right if they're interested they'll look.
