Microsoft Employees Disrupt Wii U Best Buy EventsRemember how Nintendo was showcasing some of their E3 games at participating Best Buy stores around the country? Well, apparently Microsoft employees have been hired to go to these events and preach about the Xbox One and make comments like "why would you buy a outdated Wii U when the Xbox One is right around the corner?"
However, the employees aren't getting what they hoped for. Most customers just start bashing the Xbox One in response. Seriously, Microsoft, the people attending these Best Buy Wii U events are people who are intimately familiar with the crap you pulled at E3. They ain't takin' your shit.
At first I thought this might just be a case of one really loyal Microsoft employee taking matters into his own hands (especially since the original source was /v/), but reports have come in from numerous Best Buy's around the country that indicate many Microsoft employees have ambushed the demo lines trying to persuade people to switch to the Xbox One.

The Used Game ParadigmOver the course of this past generation I've been watching the video game market react to the way it's been forced to deal with increasing changes. I've come out against used game sales and even written a journal about boycotting GameStop because (like most people at the time) I believed they were the root cause of all the problems the video game industry has. But that's something I don't believe now as intently as i did then. From where I sit, piracy and used games sales are a problem, but not in the way game companies want us to believe that they are.
Used games are a good thing for consumers. We get to try games out, and if we don't like what we see or finish it early, we trade it in and try another title instead. It's a very good system for us since video game rentals are much harder to come by. Most video rental stores in America have gone extinct and outside specific Red Box Kiosks there aren't a lot of places for consumers to rent video games. The exception, of course, being thr

Please Pants Responsibly (Paper Notebooks FTW)

There are two ways to write a novel. Plotting (you make an outline, a plan, a roadmap if you will, and then you sit down and write it) and pantsing (you write "by the seat of your pants, throwing caution to the wind). So when I get asked if I'm a plotter or a pantser, I'm all like er, uh, hold on, let me? Pantser? I think? But I kind of, um, do planny things?
And it gets kind of awkward because in these inarticulate moments I have managed to confuse everyone including myself. And probably spilled a drink.
In recent discussions, however, I've had a bit of a revelation, silly as it is. I've realized that I -- like many writers -- am a plotter/pantser hybrid. And perhaps what I'm doing is something we could call Pantsing Responsibly. And, maybe, just maybe, I could share some of my responsible pantsing tips with other writers. Starting with paper notebooks.

SPIKE updatesJust thought I'd share with you guys some updates on the progress of finishing my "SPIKE" novel.

Music Is My Inspiration ContestWell guys I've decided to start my own contest, because I had awesome feedback on the idea ^_^

Sorry I haven't posted anything recently. Working on drawings, but you know I am with that, I'll probably be working on them for the next 3 years. And my camera card no longer works for unknown reasons, so I only have my card that hols 6 photos at a time lol so.. I CAN take pictures, but it'll be a pain in the ass. It'll happen though, eventually. Don't know what I'm doing next. You can suggest ideas if you want.

And... I just watched Paranormal Activity. Disappointing, boring, not scary, not shocking... I don't understand what the hype is. If it's not scary to ME, it's just not scary. Worst ending, too.

Um... really tired, dono what else to say. Hope everyone's Halloween went well.

Actually, that's what I figured; it woudn't be scary to people that already believe in the paranormal.
I had THE SCARIEST experience with a ghost (or "Shadow Person", or whatever) when I was 7, but that event would look boring-as-hell on film.
Good luck with the camera-card thing.
Btw, do you own, or can you get, a Kimono or Chinese-style dress? You would probably photograph great in either of those.

Usually I'm very scared of movies that deal with paranormal stuff because I believe in it, it makes it more real, I'm afraid it will happen to me. This movie was just done poorly.

I have a robe that I could pass off as some kind of kimono type thing. I've thought about doing a shoot like that.. perhaps that will be my next

No, ghosts and demons really scare the crap out of me 'cause I believe in that stuff. I scare very easily, I'm scared of all those movies like the Grudge and the Others, Exorcism of Emily Rose, etc., but Paranormal Activity was just.. boring. [SPOILERS] I spent most of the time sitting there like.. Okay, when is something going to happen; then they would go to sleep and I would prepare to be scared outta my mind, hide under my boyfriend's arm, then... the door would move -_- not scary. I mean, if it was actually happening to me, I'd be scared to death, of course, but watching it as a movie, it just wasn't done well, it was too slow and the scares weren't exciting. The only part that scared me was when she got dragged out of bed.

I accidentally stopped my camera-card working one time by changing an option of the camera, you might want to check to see if that's what happened. In my case I just changed it back to normal and it worked fine.

If it's not that and you have a memory-card reader on your computer, then try reformatting the card, if you don't have a memory-card reader, ask around people you know in case one of them has one.
