Microsoft Employees Disrupt Wii U Best Buy EventsRemember how Nintendo was showcasing some of their E3 games at participating Best Buy stores around the country? Well, apparently Microsoft employees have been hired to go to these events and preach about the Xbox One and make comments like "why would you buy a outdated Wii U when the Xbox One is right around the corner?"
However, the employees aren't getting what they hoped for. Most customers just start bashing the Xbox One in response. Seriously, Microsoft, the people attending these Best Buy Wii U events are people who are intimately familiar with the crap you pulled at E3. They ain't takin' your shit.
At first I thought this might just be a case of one really loyal Microsoft employee taking matters into his own hands (especially since the original source was /v/), but reports have come in from numerous Best Buy's around the country that indicate many Microsoft employees have ambushed the demo lines trying to persuade people to switch to the Xbox One.

Please Pants Responsibly (Paper Notebooks FTW)

There are two ways to write a novel. Plotting (you make an outline, a plan, a roadmap if you will, and then you sit down and write it) and pantsing (you write "by the seat of your pants, throwing caution to the wind). So when I get asked if I'm a plotter or a pantser, I'm all like er, uh, hold on, let me? Pantser? I think? But I kind of, um, do planny things?
And it gets kind of awkward because in these inarticulate moments I have managed to confuse everyone including myself. And probably spilled a drink.
In recent discussions, however, I've had a bit of a revelation, silly as it is. I've realized that I -- like many writers -- am a plotter/pantser hybrid. And perhaps what I'm doing is something we could call Pantsing Responsibly. And, maybe, just maybe, I could share some of my responsible pantsing tips with other writers. The Used Game ParadigmOver the course of this past generation I've been watching the video game market react to the way it's been forced to deal with increasing changes. I've come out against used game sales and even written a journal about boycotting GameStop because (like most people at the time) I believed they were the root cause of all the problems the video game industry has. But that's something I don't believe now as intently as i did then. From where I sit, piracy and used games sales are a problem, but not in the way game companies want us to believe that they are.
Used games are a good thing for consumers. We get to try games out, and if we don't like what we see or finish it early, we trade it in and try another title instead. It's a very good system for us since video game rentals are much harder to come by. SPIKE updatesJust thought I'd share with you guys some updates on the progress of finishing my "SPIKE" novel.

I've been steadily uploading all my photos of other people, and they are getting considerably less attention than they did when I first uploaded them here, which I kind of expected but holy crap - I mean A LOT LESS attention. One photo, one of my favorites, had 20 comments and 45 favs and now it has.. 2 and 3

I'm not sure what to do about it. I feel bad that I'll be deleting it here where so many people enjoyed it, and they won't really know that it's moved unless they take the time out to read journals - which many people do not. Maybe there's nothing to be done and I just have to move on =/

I've got all the pictures of people who are not Jamie posted on the other account, and for some reason I decided to upload them that way, leaving all EIGHT of my Jamie shoots to post in a row. I do not know why I did not think that through, it completely messes up the time line and gives my new followers a crazy Jamie overload that they will not be prepared for -_-;; *exasperated sigh* I really hate OCD, it hurts me.

I had the same thing when moving my account -- whereas the first time around things would get a bunch of comments the re-posts have hardly got any. Obviously for me it's to a lesser extent seeing as I'm newer and less popular than yourself, but I do know how you feel there.
