I know I have been quite inactive the past month, alot of private stuff going on and upcoming exams, but I will try to be more active again from now on. Microsoft Employees Disrupt Wii U Best Buy EventsRemember how Nintendo was showcasing some of their E3 games at participating Best Buy stores around the country? Well, apparently Microsoft employees have been hired to go to these events and preach about the Xbox One and make comments like "why would you buy a outdated Wii U when the Xbox One is right around the corner?"
However, the employees aren't getting what they hoped for. Most customers just start bashing the Xbox One in response. Seriously, Microsoft, the people attending these Best Buy Wii U events are people who are intimately familiar with the crap you pulled at E3. They ain't takin' your shit.
At first I thought this might just be a case of one really loyal Microsoft employee taking matters into his own hands (especially since the original source was /v/), but reports have come in from numerous Best Buy's around the country that indicate many Microsoft employees have ambushed the demo lines trying to persuade people to switch to the Xbox One.

The Used Game ParadigmOver the course of this past generation I've been watching the video game market react to the way it's been forced to deal with increasing changes. I've come out against used game sales and even written a journal about boycotting GameStop because (like most people at the time) I believed they were the root cause of all the problems the video game industry has. But that's something I don't believe now as intently as i did then. From where I sit, piracy and used games sales are a problem, but not in the way game companies want us to believe that they are.
Used games are a good thing for consumers. We get to try games out, and if we don't like what we see or finish it early, we trade it in and try another title instead. It's a very good system for us since video game rentals are much harder to come by. Most video rental stores in America have gone extinct and outside specific Red Box Kiosks there aren't a lot of places for consumers to rent video games. The exception, of course, being thr

Please Pants Responsibly (Paper Notebooks FTW)

There are two ways to write a novel. Plotting (you make an outline, a plan, a roadmap if you will, and then you sit down and write it) and pantsing (you write "by the seat of your pants, throwing caution to the wind). So when I get asked if I'm a plotter or a pantser, I'm all like er, uh, hold on, let me? Pantser? I think? But I kind of, um, do planny things?
And it gets kind of awkward because in these inarticulate moments I have managed to confuse everyone including myself. And probably spilled a drink.
In recent discussions, however, I've had a bit of a revelation, silly as it is. I've realized that I -- like many writers -- am a plotter/pantser hybrid. And perhaps what I'm doing is something we could call Pantsing Responsibly. And, maybe, just maybe, I could share some of my responsible pantsing tips with other writers. Starting with paper notebooks.

SPIKE updatesJust thought I'd share with you guys some updates on the progress of finishing my "SPIKE" novel.

Stolen Pictures on Android

Now, I don't have an Android phone, I don't even have a smart phone at all. I have an iPod Touch and I still forget that I can do more than play music on it. With that said, I've been informed that someone has stolen some of my vampire photos - I don't know which ones - and is using them in something called "fantasy girls live background" on the Android network. Usually those things are free, but he's selling a full version or something. I don't know what to do, I don't know who to contact, but while I figure that out.. don't use it, buy it, whatever, and tell your homies about it too -_-

And on top of that, some bitch at the Christmas tree lot was literally hogging all the good trees, had her mute husband holding one up for 45 minutes and her out of control sons literally jumping on other trees while the helpful tree guy was standing 4 others up for her. She KNEW I was waiting, I saw several that I would have liked to take home, they were perfect, but she had no consideration for anyone else - even said out loud, laughing, that she knew I was waiting for her to pick one. I waited 'till I couldn't wait anymore, bought a fine tree, though not as nice as the ones she was hording... then she decided to leave without one, after all that. She's lucky my boyfriend's mother was with me, it woulda been a cat fight at Home Depot

I was thinking about this and just looked it up again. [link] It's a free way to copyright. You should look into it, it's pretty interesting and maybe if they just see the little sign they'd be less likely to steal it without giving permission. Or it's easy to just pretend & put the copyright sign on your pictures.
